Two tough games to secure finals spot.

It’s coming to the pointy end of the season for the Byron Bay Suffolk Park Sandcrabs with only 1 point separating them from 5th place Casino Bulls and 3 points from 6th place Lismore City in the Reserve grade of the Far North Coast Zone.

In their first season, the Sandcrabs could make history by securing a finals place if they secure a few more points in the next two games.

That’s no easy feat with the two games against first-place Mullumbimby Moonshiners this Saturday and then Lismore City in the final game of the regular season.
Casino Bulls have a bye this weekend which gives the Sandcrabs an inch of breathing space, whereas Lismore City face the Gold Rats reserves, who have failed to secure any points this season.

The Sandcrabs came up victors against the latter in the first leg of the season, where they narrowly lost against the Moonshiners in Round 8 for the Ashes.

With a few players back in the fold after absences, the Sandcrabs have an air of confidence, but they know the ‘Shiners are hard to beat at home.

Get down to Alby Lofts Oval, Brunswick Heads on Sat 12th August. 13:30 KO.
